In response to the current coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we have temporarily closed our physical headquarters office in Irvine, California. All our headquarters staff are currently working remotely and collaborating via our cloud-based IT infrastructure. There will be NO impact to our ability to support our clients on their proposals and projects. All our Associates currently deployed with our clients have the technology to work remotely if necessary.

Update on 20 March
This is the end of the first week our headquarters staff worked remotely. We are leveraging Microsoft Teams to allow us to maintain the open workspace environment we have in the office and the “hey you” interaction that allows us to respond quickly to any need. Everyone is online and maintaining our normal rhythm and productivity.
Many of our clients have also moved to a virtual work environment and for those clients, our Associates continue their support remotely. We have several new starts this week and we continue to get inquiries from clients for our support. We are seeing an increase in client engagement on our Talent on Demand (TOD®) platform as clients work to fill gaps and keep their critical projects staffed. Update on 24 March
Although this is a time of stress and uncertainty, It is also a moment in time when the work we do is its most critical. Many of our clients are identified as part of the Essential Critical Infrastructure as defined in the Presidential Policy Directive 21 (PPD-21):
Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience advances a national policy to strengthen and maintain secure, functioning, and resilient critical infrastructure.
For these clients, the requirements to respond to government requests and keep projects on track is even more intense. During these unprecedented and unsettling times, we are working directly with our clients to ensure they know that we are ready, willing, and able to help in any useful way we can. All of our clients have a Talent On Demand (TOD®) account and can immediately start finding the talent they need, and they are working with our Business Development Leads to identify and engage the right talent to fill talent gaps ensuring they meet deliverables to keep critical projects and initiatives on track.
We have are also making our robust, secure virtual collaborative work environment available to our clients. If you are working on a project and need VTC, Office, Microsoft Project, etc., we have an arsenal of collaboration and productivity tools available. At SMA, we have always had a people first approach to supporting our Associates and clients. Your health and well-being is our first priority. Although the COVID-19 virus presents symptoms that are very similar to the flu, you should take these symptoms seriously. With either you may experience:
- Difficulty breathing (severe cases)
If you have any of these symptoms, please seek medical attention immediately, even if it turns out to be the flu.

Update on 27 March
As mentioned above, many of our clients are identified as part of the Essential Critical Infrastructure as defined in the Presidential Policy Directive 21 (PPD-21). As a flow down, they have also identified SMA as essential to their business.
For these clients, the requirements to respond to government requests and keep projects on track is even more intense and they are keeping our associates engaged. We are fortunate that during this time of uncertainty, our Associates are still working. All our Associates are available to support client projects, and we have the right people, process, tools, and connectivity to work remotely and hit the ground running on day one. We are also offering our clients access to our network and technology infrastructure to enable better collaboration and provide our process and tools.

Update on 7 April
The safety of our Associates and client is a top priority. Recent guidance from the CDC suggests that the use of facecloth coverings when social distancing is a good practice. The attached document from the DoD contains good information regarding facecloth use. Please take a moment to review this document and practice this measure when necessary:
